I have a problem… I am French. And like all French, I have difficulties with the other languages.

I sent a message on the site of Cigraph about a problem with ArchiMap, but I did not have an answer (the message was in French). So, I was registered on the international forum and I will make a large effort to speak in English (my English is so far away…). I believe that I a little will be made help of an automatic translator (He He). :wink:

I bought ArchiMap (1.01) on line, 2 weeks ago, and I have some questions:

1) When I place my rooms in the archives, the title and the legend are in Italian (I tested with all other languages, it is always in Italian, except for the English language). I have makes a bad handling? When I used version 1.0 for a demonstration, all was Ok.

2) During a work, once, it was impossible to link 2 rooms (union by the doors). After handling, the rooms were well grouped, but on the screen they approached and moved away again. What is the problem?

3) I currently work with ArchiMap 1.01 for ArchiCAD 9. I have to pay an update to use ArchiMap 1.01 for ArchiCAD 10, or not?

first of all, sorry because we don't speak French and, overall for the delay in answering you but, you know, this is a quite "hot" period for us: ArchiCAD 10 is released, the porting of all our add-ons and... this new web site.

The localization trouble you highlighted is right. I just uploaded (27 June 2006 - 12:43) the new versions of ArchiMap (for AC 8.1, 9 & 10) that solve this trouble.

About the other troubles, please be so kind to send us the PLN file in order to check it.

The compatibility updates for ArchiCAD 10 are not free of charge but if you purchased ArchiMap in the last three months you can get it free of charge (if you bought any plug-in from this site they are already AC 10 compatible).

Now, I'm working with ArchiCad 10. I've not any more problems with the links of ArchiMap (union by the doors). :D

On the other hand, the problems of localization are always there (I however downloaded the plug-in yesterday again). :(

the Murphy law says that when something could have a trouble... for sure it will get it!!!
Unfortunately I fixed the ArchiMap Library by correcting all the language but I forgot (funny!) just the French one!
Now I just upload a new version (including the new "also French fixed" object) that should help you in using your wondeful language.

Ho, since I'm there, I allow myself to make you 2 small proposals to improve the soft :

1) Allow to add and remove points around a room already created.

2) Allow to automatically display the surface of a room (without have to draw a hatching).

Hi PPAG,

the first one is not so simple: adding or removing point changes the trilateration status... quite difficult to handle. I added it to the ArchiMap's wish list it can be a good improvement for the next major release.

the second one is not so difficult... give me some time and I will add this function in the next maintenance release.

as I promised you, you can find as new download the latest update of ArchiMap.
Please, don't care about the add-ons version (we didn't change it because there aren't important new improvement/bug fixing) check just for the upload date: now it is 5 July 2006).

Hoping this change will satisfy you and all the other users.

P.S. to enable the area display you have to properly set the room object parameter using the User Interface dialog window (the last page).
