 archistair railling post issue...
Hi there,
Its quite frustrating because plugin works perfect except for what i need most... the railling posts library wont load and any change on its setting wont affect custom posts. In other words im forced to use posts in all my stairs.
I´ve checked the forum and found someone else with similar problem but he had no answer, therefore im writting this new post to get new attention.
By the way, i´m using th student version.
Thanks

 Re: archistair railling post issue...
yeah, i have the same problem and it is extremely frustrating. i have emailed fabrizio several times with no response.
i guess students don't matter to them...they should realize that we are future paying customers.
i was messing around the other day and had copied the library to another folder and got it working for a little while, but it wasn't quite right and was still buggy, sometimes the post library parts would show in the list, other times they wouldn't. then it just stopped working again.
i wish they let students use Archistair 2.

 Re: archistair railling post issue...
the problem seems to be a conflict with the Cadimage tools. i reinstalled Archicad EDU, and then loaded Archistair. Everything worked fine, the library parts where all there, the dialog box functioned properly. i then installed the Cadimage tools and reopend ArchiCAD. Then the Archistair problem started again.

 Re: archistair railling post issue...
so i moved the cadimage folders out of the add-on folder, and Archistair worked again, i then reloaded the Cadimage add-ons from the different location, and it killed the Archistair again. So it is definitely some conflict between Cadimage and Archistair. I am wondering if this is some sort of corporate sabotage battle between the two companies...

 Re: archistair railling post issue...
Dear Benjamin,
what you found is quite interesting and we never realized about it! You posted the same trouble on several forums (and also sent me a personal e-mail) so now we know the trouble but ArchiStair 1.0 is not supported anymore: any time a major update is released the previous version is of course "killed". From what we know (you got the same answer also in the ArchiCAD Talk forum) this trouble doesn't occur using ArchiStair 2.0. Sooner we will release the student versions for ArchiCAD 13 (I suppose before Christmas) and ArchiStair 2.0 will substitute ArchiStair 1.0.
Friendly Fabrizio
