To make a terrain,
Is the 2.05 version noticably different than 2.0? The book I have says enter constraints using a x,xx format. The version I have doesn't let me use a "," at all. Specifically when I import a dxf file it won't let me use a "," for the constraints making the file very large. (it only lets me enter a single number).

Also I continue to get the error "group operation error @ line 48 of file architerracolor20.gsm" Is this because of the large size of the file?

When I am able to get it to work on my computer I cannot share it. I try to follow the instructions on saving the macro for use on a network, the instructions are unclear of how to bind these to the project. "save/special file" what does that mean? Localize the macros in the ArchiTerra 20.lib file, (the one on my hard drive?) and enclose them in the project file, (use this a library?) I am unsure on how to make this work over the network.

Any help on this?

Josh

Hi Josh,

1. 2.05 is just a maintenance release in respect to 2.0 (we always suggest to use the latest release). Some new issues has been added regarding the import feature and the outline calculation procedure, you can find a description of them at http://www.aboutarchiterra.com in the FAQ area.
2. what do you mean by saying “enter constraints using a x,xx format”?
3. to share your file you should follow this procedure:
a. display the ArchiTerra References component list
b. here you will find the external references file you should attach to your library to correctly display the terrain
c. all these macros are contained inside the ArchiTerra 20.Lib folder that is located in the same folder as the ArchiTerra 2.0 plug-in
4. "group operation error @ line 48 of file …", send me the file and I will check it (BTW, which version of ArchiCAD are you using?)

Josh...
In Europe they dont use a decimal point...they use a comma...
So x,xx is x.xx is the US...
