Post Archiquant - how to
Hello. My name is Onut, I am an architect.
I've heard form Archicad-talk forum about your add-on, Arhiquant.
I wanted to know if it's possible to find a tutorial about using this add-on in a new project, and most important, in an already designed project.
I have read the pdf that comes with the demo version and I have searched both forums for this tutorial. The pdf provides only a description of each option, but does not indicate a work-flow.

thank you

Onut

Hi welcome on this forum.

The workflow is quite easy:

1. first of all you have to build up you component database (starting from a scratch or importing it from an external file)
2. once you built and selected you component database the workflow is quite similar to the ArchiCAD one: you should select any element to which you want to assign the desired components and then assign them by defining the proper formulas.

If you are working on a already finished project you have to select the already existent elements.
If you are starting a new project, you can configure the component assignments before to draw the element (just like you do with any other element attribute).

Just the number?

1. Choose the desired component
2. in the formula calculation just type 1

That's all: the component will have as quantity the number of windows to which it is linked...
